How to Make the Perfect Irish Breakfast Tea

Boil some water.

Always fill the kettle with cold, freshly obtained water that has been filtered, if feasible. If you want your tea to taste great, use an electric kettle with temperature presets. At 206°F, the ideal temperature is just below the boiling point.

Warm up the teapot.

In a teapot, pour recently boiled water and stir it around. Then, throw the water away.

The tea can unfold, relax, and offer the most flavor when the teapot is warmed. Keeping the tea

warm without letting the temperature fall also helps.

Pour hot water into a teapot with the tea.

The top advice is to avoid pouring boiling water over tea. This is because the tea won't release all its maximum flavors. After all, the boiling water will burn and scald it.

Cover the teapot and steep for 3 to 4 minutes.

It's ideal to steep black tea for 3 to 5 minutes. Try tasting tea for 3 minutes or more, but no longer than 5 minutes.

Instead of steeping the tea for a longer period, if you prefer a stronger cup, make extra tea. A longer brewing time may result in bitter tea.

After steeping the tea, strain it and pour it into a cup.

Irish tea drinkers customarily fill the bottom third of their teacups with milk before adding strained tea on top of the milk. If desired, include sugar. )
